MEET OUR FOUNDER:

Michelle founded Lakes Region Business Center after recognizing a need in the lakes region for world-class, professional office and meeting space.

As a real estate agent herself, Michelle did not like working at her kitchen table, and after almost 5 years searching, could not find a quiet, professional work space to meet with clients, nor a space large enough, and affordable, to conduct classes and trainings (Michelle has taught photography for over 15 years). 

Knowing others who were struggling with the same issue, finding spaces too small, often overpriced, or too open for private connections, Michelle sold her last business and got to work building out the Lakes Region Business Center.

Michelle designed the space herself to be classic with a comfortable yet modern feel. At Lakes Region Business Center you’ll find private offices, a spacious training room and conference rooms. The layout is a flexible design, offering privacy and connection, with a well planned kitchenette for catering, snacks, coffee and cleanup, along with gorgeous artwork on the walls.

It takes awhile for spaces like this to gain traction in the local community, but it’s growing!  Who do you know that might love a quiet place to work for a few hours? Or needs meeting space. Maybe you know a company looking to hold corporate retreats, an employee training, or anything in between.

The space has hosted many events, networking, financial planning sessions, real estate closings,  real estate trainings for agents, home buyer and home seller workshops, educators group workshops, photography classes, cpr classes, and more.

Professionals need reliable space with minimal distractions, especially as more companies go back to in-person meetings. Finding a clean, reasonably priced location with great parking is key to productivity in those meetings.

Every part of the space was created with the purpose to provide a welcoming, functional environment where professionals, clients, and the community could gather, learn, and grow.

That same commitment to education and helping people make confident decisions also inspired Michelle’s book, Selling Your Home: Critical Decisions That Make or Break Your Deal.

June 3, 2025 marked an especially meaningful milestone: the official ribbon cutting of Lakes Region Business Center, the launch of Michelle’s book, and grand opening of her eXp Realty Branch Office, adjacent to the Lakes Region Business Center.

Now, one year later, we’re proud to celebrate not only two businesses and a book, but also the community, connections, and conversations that have grown from them.

Michelle is a catalyst who can connect the dots and see how to solve future challenges for people in the current moment. Evidenced by the many businesses she has built from the ground up, and her main real estate career of 24 years and going strong.
